MD Justice is a website created to assist advocates - attorneys and paralegals, from public nonprofit legal services organizations as well as from the private bar - to provide pro bono assistance to clients facing legal issues in Maryland. The website provides a place for advocates to discuss strategies, resources, training materials, and other information.
This website was originally maintained and developed in partnership with the Maryland community of legal services providers by the Pro Bono Resource Center. MDJustice was created as part of the Maryland Legal Assistance Network (MLAN) project (2000-2007), an access to justice initiative. It is a companion website to the Peoples Law Library legal information and self help advocacy website for the public. The website is now directly managed by the Maryland Legal Aid Bureau, through grants issued via the Legal Services Corporation and the Maryland Legal Services Corporation.
