 In only four years, the ranks of seniors at risk of outliving their resources increased by nearly 2 million households. Using the Senior Financial Stability Index, economic insecurity among senior households increased by one-third, rising from 27% to 36% from 2004 to 2008.

For Bankruptcies: Debtor Assistance Project ("DAP"), 3 locations

The DAP provides free 30-minute consultations to debtors.  The DAP is staffed by volunteer bankruptcy attorneys.  Consultations are by appointment only, and may be scheduled by calling 410-962-3813 or by e-mailing probono@mdb.uscourts.gov.
