Since 2006, the rate of bankruptcy filings in Maryland has increased drastically. This has been a nationwide phenomenon. Marylanders have been hit particularly hard by the economic crisis.

Since 2006, the rate of bankruptcy filings in Maryland has increased drastically. This has been a nationwide phenomenon. Marylanders have been hit particularly hard by the economic crisis. For instance, the number of Chapter 7 filings in Maryland increased by 320% in the three years following 2006.
Brown Bag Lunch Training: Corporate Pro Bono for Small Nonprofits
Learn how to take a pro bono case from the Community Law Center. Staff Attorney Robin Jacobs and Pro Bono Attorney Mike Pretl will teach attendees how to help clients create a 501(c)(3) organization, from drafting articles of incorporation to reviewing an application for tax-exempt status. Attendees must agree to take one pro bono case within 1 year.
